Eisbahn opens annually the day after Thanksgiving and runs through the first Sunday in January. The dates for this season are:
Open Saturdays 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Open Sundays 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Monday - Friday before school is out
for Christmas break: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
(but always 10 p.m. on Fridays)
Monday - Friday after school is out
for Christmas break: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Open Christmas Eve Day 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Closed Christmas Day
Open New Years Eve and New Years Day

Eisbahn, the seasonal outdoor ice rink in downtown Fredericksburg, Texas, was begun by a group of citizens, doctors, and parents who wanted to raise money to aid in research for Cystic Fibrosis. After a few years, the small group found the tremendous amount of work involved in running the rink to be too much for them and sold the rink to Heritage School Heritage School, a classical and Christ-centered school for the Hill Country. After many meetings and prayerful discussions, Heritage School decided to undertake the tremendous challenge of assembling and operating an outdoor ice rink for 5-6 weeks each holiday season through the efforts of its families and student volunteers.
The rink has continued to flourish under Heritage School's ownership and has received tremendous local area and state-wide attention. Each year over 4000 skaters take to the ice to try a sport rarely seen in the balmy Texas Hill Country. Proceeds from Eisbahn benefit the school, but Heritage does continue to donate 10% of the proceeds to benefit Cystic Fibrosis research in appreciation of the efforts of the original founders of the rink.
